Fire Department

The
Tuscarora Fire Department is located just south of
Bartonville, Illinois in rural Peoria County. We
provide fire, rescue, and EMS services including early
defibrillation with ISO rating of 4. We staff about 15-20
volunteer professionals, all of which attend training weekly
on Wednesday nights at our station. Within Peoria County,
we are involved in a very active Mutual Aid system in which
we provide aid to many departments, including the Greater
Peoria Regional Airport. We are also an active in MABAS
Division 36, in which we have a standing agreement to assist
all other MABAS fire departments. We are dispatched
through Peoria County's enhanced-911 system located in
downtown Peoria, IL. All calls throughout the county come
in to a centralized Public Service Answering Point (PSAP).
Our dispatcher also handles all other county fire
departments, rescue squads, and ambulances. Members are
alerted by the on-duty dispatcher by voice pagers and an
overhead siren. |
